Not only will you see the awe-inspiring spectacle that is the Rio Carnival parade, you can experience how it feels to take part, to parade down the Sambadrome in full carnival costume in front of thousands. You will be well prepared for parading following a course of Samba lessons with an internationally acclaimed teacher, and can get straight to the heart of carnival with our insider's knowledge of the best street parties, balls, and pre-carnival nightlife.

Example Itinerary:
• Day 1 - Orientation, stroll around Santa Teresa and Portuguese lesson; evening: welcome party
• Day 2/3 - Samba lessons followed by time to relax and explore the city before practicing your steps in Rio's clubs
• Day 4 - Paintbrushes ready, it's time to Make Favela Art! Evening: Head to one of Rio's Samba Schools to hear the electrifying sound of the final rehearsals
• Day 5 - Chill on one of Rio's beautiful beaches or cool off with a rainforest walk
• Days 6/9 - Samba and Forró lessons then a chance to relax or explore Rio before plunging into the buzzing pre-carnival nightlife, or getting stuck in rehearsing with our own Samba school!
• Day 10 - A final dance lesson then beach before a masked ball to celebrate the opening night of Carnival festivities
• Day 11 - The stuff of dreams: time to take centre stage and parade down the Sambadrome
• Day 12 - Get right into the action at a street party, or sleep all day and dance to some of the country's finest Samba musicians at a huge open air concert
• Day 13 - A year in the making, a chance to sit back and take in one of the world's greatest spectacles, the Rio carnival parade
• Day 14 - Departure for the airport - still in carnival costume!!
